uncle_buck Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Hey, Can anyone tell me the correct pins for the hard drive and power LEDs on the case front for the NF4 SLI-DR. From the 'not-so-helpful' manual I correctly found the connections for reset and power switch and the speaker as well, but for some reason I'm not so clear on the two LEDs. It looks like there are actually 6 header pins left on the board. Pin 1 (top right corner) pin2 (below pin 1) pin 3, pin 4, pin 5, and pin6. Even pin numbers are the bottom row of the header, and odd numbers are the top row. Two pins should be for HDD LED, and two from PWR LED. The manual shows 3 pins for each and is not clear which is positive and which is negative. Any help on this would be great. Thanks, Uncle_Buck
hmf Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Since your front headers has only 2 wires ignore pins 1 and 2. Connect hdd led to 3-5 and pwr led to 4-6.
uncle_buck Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Great thanks! Any idea on the polarity? From the sketchy manual I would say pin4=+pwr_LED and pin6=-pwr_LED.... and for the HDD I'm guessing pin3=+hdd_LED and pin5=-hdd_LED? Cudos again!
