RGone Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Good friend of mine in TX that got me hooked on Nvidia boards is just about to make me fire up my NF3 UT250GB again after I spend about $350.00 to catch him on air. UT 250GB with Themalright 948U cpu Heatsink for this LidLess cpu. 4000+ Newark 754... Pretty sure he is running 2 or 3 512 'early' BH-5 made by Kingston... RGone... CPDMF Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 All I can say HOLY *%$#. Guess I won't be looking at NF4 rig in the near future. Is that a suicide shot or what level of stability does he have? Also, it's not a cherry picked CPU or anything like that? I'd love to put that thing under my Pelt. 3.5 maybe 3.6 for some superpi runs would be way cool.. RGone Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Standard from the vendor cpu on air. 252 or 253X13 for about 3270Mhz or so is superPi'ing thru 4M last I saw. He is just beginning to push it and is really only an air gamer. But it sure as hale got my attention. Hehehehehe. RGone...
CPDMF Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Time to put a few dollars away. I think the record for a socket 754 CPU is right around 3.5. I think it will go up some if that is a common clock. Maybe see a 4.0 with a little Phase. Do you know if it is running 1:1? If the memory controller will keep up with the clock that is one incredible CPU.

TheGeekMistress Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 i've just bought the nf3 250Gb mobo and i've got a gig kit of TCCD G.Skill PC4800 2.5-4-4-8 and in two weeks i'm buying that 4000 mobile myself. i'm so g33kd that you got so high on air alone. seems this 2.6ghz, .09µ, 1.35vcore IHS-less core is a good clocker. so my hopes of this core hitting 3.2ghz should be pretty easily done with my new Asetek Waterchill 03-L-1249 kit. ....maybe, if i'm lucky i'll be flying along 3.4ghz+ ...oh yah BayBee TGM
RGone Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 CPDMF, pretty sure he is one to one since I know that BH-5 he has will run that fast. I have wife in hospital from surgery a few hours ago and have to stay the night with her> but will try to contact him and get any more information that I can and see if the 3D's all run and at 'what' clock. Will try to find more since some of you guys have the board and skills and peripherals. RGone... Time to put a few dollars away. I think the record for a socket 754 CPU is right around 3.5. cmay119 Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Makes me wish I had a 4000+ instead of 3700+. Far superior memory controller on the 4000+ compared to the 3700+. Damn that's a nice clock. Will someone please get these chips under some LN2 or Dry Ice!
