scubadude Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 I've been away from the research since I bought my Ultra Infinity. At that time it and the Lanparty were the hot rigs. Man, alot changed since then! Need somewhere to start.
Guest Blooz1 Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 msmolt is right, you'll have a lot of fun with that combo! The Semprons O/C like mad dogs, especially the newer 64-bit models. I've really enjoyed messing with mine, and it's a great way to learn about the AMD 64's without "breaking the bank".
CPDMF Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 NF3 250GB and Turion or Newark core. Baddest combination available for Socket 754 hands down. Putting the dollars together for my Newark core so I should have it right after Christmas
learners permit Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 The Newarks are really fast (sig)and you get the big ole L2 cash with it a little pricier though. If your into tweakin a system you'll get a lot of that especially if you try to run 2 gigs of mem with it.

Angry_Games Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 oops Nf3 250Gb Lanparty + 3100+ Sempron 256k L2 64-bit (or a newer Neward 512k L2 Athlon64) I've had zero luck with Turion, and not much luck with Newcastle/Clawhammer 754's
