loc.o Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 Not much time yet so only 1M for now. It will do up to 3,3Ghz on 1.47v. Im prety sure that if it does this it will clock nice OCDB stable as wel  . As soon as ive got more time i will enter it. Squid1 Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 Nice! That's your CABYE 0540? What cooling? What voltage did you set in the BIOS (base and special)?
loc.o Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 cabye 0540 fpmw with mach II. Its set 1.5 x 113%. This is with the vx and only 1.3 x 113% Scores pretty bad for the clocks due to mem, need some tweaking and i need to get me into the divider stuff. tatts Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 loc. have you raised chipset or ldt voltages for that? looking impressive so far
Squid1 Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 Also watch out with high memory voltage and low CPU voltage in case you are not aware of it.
loc.o Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 I am, thanks. I raised both ldt & chip 0.1v for the 3450, other one is default.
soundx98 Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 loc.o - We are not worthy Martin - 3.5v on my BH-5 and 1.47Vcore, Care to elaborate on that statement? Don't want to dork anything. Lots of cooling and temps are fine on RAM and CPU
steelballzz Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 i guess he was talking about this
loc.o Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 Yes thats the tread. If i read it correct 3,5v on mem with 1.47 (bios) should be fine. (ive had me San Diego running for months at 1.3 x 113% with 3.5 on the ram without any probs)
AndrewZorn Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 WOW, never knew that, not that im doing it now but i used like the idea of supercool CPU with high speed mem good to know its weird because my 165 is set to 1.475v yet it runs 29*C idle with my 7700cu, how is this even possible? temps are correct too
soundx98 Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 Interesting thread. It sure makes you wonder about some of the guys that said the board killed their CPU doesn't it?
Squid1 Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 Interesting thread. It sure makes you wonder about some of the guys that said the board killed their CPU doesn't it? No, the recent CPU kills were at everything stock. Apparently on preproduction sample boards, too. However, there is the unrelated phaenomenon of memory controllers going bad. Not killing the CPU but causing the CPU not to be able to drive low-voltage memory at speeds where they used to do it. That might very well be caused by this, IMHO. In any case, 1.45 Volts CPU core would properly guard against this damage if the above linked threads is right.
