JohnL Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 yeah, everything ive ever heard/read says a64s need to be under 50C... so 65 is prolly a little high I dont have an X2, so I might be wrong, but you should bring your Vcore down alot... youre at 1.6225, and i think a64s need to be under 1.6 as much as possible edit: der... not X2, fx-57... thats my dumbass point for the day what is your heat sink? thermal material? how much thermal material, you dont need alot at all.... noktekniq Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 ^ xp90 on panaflo with as5 cpuz saying i am on 1.57v
neverbehind Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Maximum Case Temperature for FX-57 is 57C. Air cooling is not designed to handle 1.6v or above. And from your setting, 240*11=2640, that's the stock speed for FX-57, so something is seriously wrong with getting that temperature. soundx98 Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 I would suggest immediately reseating the HSF and reapplying your TIM. Where are you getting the temp readings from?
Squid1 Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 You are allowed to operate this processor at up to 65 degrees celsius. http://66.249.93.104/search?q=cache:95p9xU...e+-forums&hl=en
soundx98 Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Something is definately wrong with an XP90, panaflow, and AS5. Is the fan even working?
noktekniq Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 yes the fan is working. and i put only a rice of as5 on the cpu and stuff. i don't know why the temps are so high temp reading from MBM mod. i heard dual core is suppose to have a lot of heat. but is there that much more heat? i also heard it takes a while for as5 to sit in a take effect. the computer was never under stress for over 200 hrs

noktekniq Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Lets get this straight... are you using a FX-57 or a X2??? Am I the only one confused by this?? x2 you are running a vcore of 1.6v im not that surprised good thing i didnt copy your settings actually with this setting i was able to run 3dmark01 on loop continuously for about 15 mins without crash. i lowered the voltage just right now a little too. getting about 7552 on 3dmark05 score! [i heard running 3dmark loop for about 30 mins or more can stand for a stable computer] but i can't prime or pi at all. 2nd core is bummed i think while core1 runs continuously.
