El_Capitan Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 4.510 seconds with an i7 2600k at 4.8GHz and 16GB's memory. Andrew, the link to the y-cruncher was updated to 0.5.5 while a lot of the others that first posted the version was at 0.5.4 - which might explain why I'm getting a faster score than an i7 2600k at 5.0GHz... unless more memory gives an added benefit to the score? If more memory improves the score, then also add that into the scores detail? RX7Rage should be on the red team, and Waco's line needs fixing. Extra memory has no effect other than being able to run larger sets. Memory speeds helps alittle. But version 5.5 has AVX instructions that the sandybridge CPU can use, 5.4 does not have the AVX instructions, so its apples-to-apples with other CPU's. Being that sandy bridge is the only CPU's with AVX until bulldozer. No other CPU's stand a chance on 5.5 now.

I could swear this updated thread was tarted with 0.5.5... *SIGH* I can't do anything right...
