Verran Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 can anyone explain advantage and disadvantage of each casing within range $130 hehe Dude, do you have any idea how long that would take?! There are hundreds of cases in that price range. Cases are hard to recommend. Everyone has different tastes. We can tell you what we like, but only you know what you like. Personally, my two favorite cases right now are the Thermaltake Armor and the CoolerMaster Sniper. I'd recommend checking those out. WhenKittensATK Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 (edited) Chieftec Dragon 2 or Antec 902 are around $130. Maybe something with a slide out tray. Don't really know that many cases since I'm not in the market for one. I currently have an old Chieftec Dragon case. When I first got it was more than enough room to work in it. Now, there isn't enough room to work in it. New big video cards and heatsink pretty much take up the majority of the case. So my suggestion is get something big, if you want the case to last through a few builds/upgrades. xchrissypoox Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 (edited) Antec 300 $50 at frys and then add the cost of 3 more 120mm fans of your choosing Edited September 8, 2009 by xchrissypoox
Verran Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 @verran do you mean thermaltake armor = > VH8000BWS ARMOR+ MX ? or the other model ? I think so. There are several different types of "Armor" cases now so I'm not sure. They are all basically the same, it just depends on the fan layouts that you like and such. I haven't looked at them in a long time though, I just know that I like mine, but mine is really old from back when there was just one Armor. clayderine Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 (edited) which one of your computer using armor? i'll check yours and compare with the available armor on the store web ---------------------------------------- err after checking the E7400 Gaming,, that one is not available here,, i'll take another armor maybe,, start to find some review hehe,, thx --------------------------------- if i can't find those casing i think i will choose haf922 cause,, just now i know that the pci holder of haf 922 is not PLASTIC like the one i have in gladiator i read that from http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/co...r_haf_922/3.htm so this one fit me hahahaha sorry for troubling you guys thanks for the help ehehehe Edited September 8, 2009 by clayderine
Verran Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 err after checking the E7400 Gaming,, that one is not available here,, Well, the Armor in my pictures has been modified a LOT so you won't see one like mine in any store. But mine is the old original version, so you probably can't get it anymore anyways. The new ones are good too though. They have more fans now. cause,, just now i know that the pci holder of haf 922 is not PLASTIC like the one i have in gladiator If you don't like the plastic PCI holder, you can always just take it out and use screws to hold your cards in. My Armor had a plastic PCI holder in it and I took it out right away because I didn't trust it. You shouldn't give up on a case just because of something silly like this. It's easy to fix.
