olokul Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 im just going to quote this part out of the storie "In 2006, Chavez’s son accidentally shot him in the back after the off-duty officer forgot that he had left the loaded .45-caliber pistol under the front seat of this Ford Ranger. The child was not in a safety seat at the time." lets point out a few thing here 1 child was not in a safety seat at the time. fail as parent 2 off-duty officer forgot that he had left the loaded .45-caliber pistol under the front seat a epic fail as A) an officer B) a gun owner 3 as an officer/gun owner how can you not teach your kids about gun safety. now there will probably be some stupid gun law that comes out of this because he was to stupid or lazy to take care of his gun. /end rant for today
Coors Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 He should really be suing Trojan for his dad's failure to use a condom.
Black64 Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 He should be in jail for having a loaded gun with-in reach of a child and no safety.

Well in America guns and violence are fine to show your kids, but when you get out . and alcohol, or oh noes boobies, it's instantly shunned. One is human nature(except alcohol) and the other is something that is supposed to be avoided...hmm I think something may have failed in the US there. So very much this. I hope he loses a ton of money on this case. If he's awarded anything what little faith I have in humanity will shrink even smaller. Coors Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 He should be in jail for having a loaded gun with-in reach of a child and no safety. Glocks don't have a manual safety. It should have been holstered and not under the seat in reach of the child that wasn't strapped into his car seat.
Tjj226_Angel Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Glock definitely needs to redesign their guns, but this is just nuts. First of no one should be suing glock. Suing the poice department that issued a gun without a safety might have been a better argument at the very least. But having your gun that you already know is dangerous around a 3 year old kid is stupid. Hey look Corrs, we agree on something
Coors Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Not completely. I don't think Glock needs to redesign their gun thats been working just fine since what...the 70s? And they aren't the only handgun without a manual safety. My XDm is very similar except in addition to the trigger safety it has a grip safety as well. The problem here is, in the words of Ron White, "you can't fix stupid".
jdm_freek Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 he was playing with his gun and child and most likely handed the gun to his 3yo child thinking it would be cute aw look he wants to be like his daddy well now because of his reckless stupidity he can say aw cute he can use my wheelchair
