Onion Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 On my HP laptop, I can put two fingers on my touchpad and slide them down to scroll the page down. However, on Windows 8, it is reversed. If I slide my two fingers down, it'll make the page go up. Its really annoying and counter-intuitive. Is there a fix for this? VaporX Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Wonder if it is a driver issue for the touch pad...
flareback Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Wonder if it is a driver issue for the touch pad... I doubt it's a driver issue. I know this is the way OS X is setup but there is a setting to change it. I don't know enough about Windows 8 to say if there's a setting for this though. Onion Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Wonder if it is a driver issue for the touch pad... Nope, I tried installing the drivers thinking the same thing. I doubt it's a driver issue. I know this is the way OS X is setup but there is a setting to change it. I don't know enough about Windows 8 to say if there's a setting for this though. Saw something about that on google. d6bmg Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Most likely a driver issue. Post in HP forum and wait for the update of driver.
IVIYTH0S Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 Just think in your head "I'm pushing the paper down, and moving up the page" (like a smartphone), maybe that's why it's like that

It's meant to be like in IOS where you touch the screen.
airman Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 I can change this in my mousepad settings. You likely have a synaptic touchpad - its under the scrolling settings. I can reverse the directions.
