dmo580 Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 What do you guys keep it at? If I run 200 HTT x 5 = 1000 LDT, then what's a good voltage? When do I need to start raising it from 1.2V? What about chipset voltage? I know this will vary from case to case, but I just want a general sense I guess.
Fight Game Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 I dunno, but I run mine, at just under the max settings, for this and chipset, and have had no problems with stability, or heat.
Angry_Games Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 i never adjust LDT and chipset (check the overclocking database and my bios screens at angrygames.com...i think i have maybe one time adjusted them)
loc.o Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 No need to increase it running at stock or a mild OC. I only change LDT/chipset volts when on max.
dmo580 Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 Well I'm going to try to max out my OC on an XP-120 and so I just hope I don't run into any chipset/LDT problems ...
Rattle Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 At 9X300 1:1 2.5-3-3-8 1t cpu vid 1.44 vdimm 2.84 I have yet had to increase either voltage from lowest settings.
ianocean Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 At 9X300 1:12.5-3-3-8 1t cpu vid 1.44 vdimm 2.84 Which i doubt is 24/7 settings.Sorry for the offense but these are too agresive for stable system I usualy use LDT-1.4v NB-default(1.5v) 280Mhz 2.5-3-3-7 (my system can turn SuperPi 32M at these settings 292Mhz)
Rattle Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 thats your right to have that opinion, i primed this last night for 12 hours. I can post screenshots all day but you still wont believe me I suppose? when I first put this thing together, I ran prime95 at stock clocks with 1.35 cpu vid for 12 hours, that should give you an impression of how lucky i am with this cpu. This chip is the best one out of 6 i have had my hands on all 3700's

Infinity Posted August 14, 2005 Posted August 14, 2005 The newer cores CAN clock like that with lower voltages. I've seen several.
Guest Dangermouse Posted August 14, 2005 Posted August 14, 2005 I've messed around with my LDT and chipset voltages, but never found them to have any impact on stability or OC-ability. I'm not running extremely high overclocks, but I figure it ain't bad.
