I just found it tonight and decided to load it using the automated boot floppy process. The programming seemed to go fine, but now I cannot boot.

I get the logo, I get the ATA device screen, and at the bottom of the ATA device screen I get: (dashes added)

--------------------------------------------------------

CMOS Checksum error - Defaults loaded

Warning! Now System is in Safe Mode

Please resetting CPU frepuency in the CMOS setup

Press F1 to continue, DEL to enter SETUP

06/15/2005-NF-CK804-6161FD49C-00

--------------------------------------------------------

I'm locked out at this point - the system will not respond to the keyboard.

I tried clearing CMOS in the usual way, but there is no difference after clearing CMOS.

One LED remains lit on the motherboard.

I don't recall exactly what the checksum was when I loaded the new BIOS, but I believe it was C000.

I'm stuck here, please help!!

That's all the changes?

Does this include improvments and ram tables in 5-10?

ive just flashed to this from 310, its great, there are loads of new options in bios, i flashed from windows, all i had to do was to enable sata/raid again in bios, all my options that i had previously set were still there. my nvidia ethernet isnt working now for some reason, it takes forever to retrieve ip, then connection doesnt work, maybe newer drivers than the official 6.39 or 6.53 im using might fix it, so using marvell.

the fist bios screen is alot different, loads of extra numbers, also shows "number of cpus: 1".

im sure there are alot more changes from last official bios, they just havent put them in the changelog, as i said there are loads of extra options in bios to play with now, dont know what half of them are though. not changing my overclock, so cant tell you if this bios gives you a better o.c.

I'm running this BIOS now. I liked the 510's but had to switch back to 414-2 because my PS/2 keyboard kept freezing at windows logon. I had hoped this BIOS would fix it (asit says so) but upon first boot, PS/2 keyboard was frozen again. I followed the BIOS flashing procedure correctly etc, cleared CMOS before fully booting and booted at stock when I did boot. I will see how it pans out over the next few days. It may just have been a one off - I certainly hope so - I don't want something as minor as this to stop me using this BIOS which appears to be primarily based 510's (-3) to be exact as A_G has stated. If not, I'm luzzing this keyboard in the bin and getting me a USB one :D
