NF3 Ultra-D 939/AGP

Recommended Posts

Has anybody had problems stabilizing 2GB kits on this board.

I have 1 pair of Crucial Ballistix Tracer pc4000 & 1 of Gskill HZ PC4000.

I've tested them on an NF4 of a friend and they go much higher and stabilize better...

Wich is the best BIOS for 2GB kits.

I'm using 711.

You mite try 8/24 BIOS as it favors Sandy/Opty chips mate. ;)

Other than having problem running RAM @ > 280ish MHz with 1T, this board has been great to me. :)

Well, I've tried the 824.

Didn't get any better.

And now I have a problem.

Can't get the FSB lower than 216. This BIOS sucks... But I already knew that...

I don't want to risk updating the BIOS with the rig on OC.

Any sugestions? Anybody...

Is this the secret to getting bios settings to work? I have had no luck at all with any bios except the original. So the sequence would be:

Flash new bios

Shut down, disconnect power

Clear CMOS

disconnect the SATA drive

Power up

Boot into bios

Make bios changes

Save changes

reboot into bios

Shut down, disconnect power

Connect SATA drive

power up

Boot into windows

I have been searching for the definitive sequence to solve the no post problem when trying to use any bios except the original.

Hi guys

I have one kit of these ram (OCZ Pc32000 OCZ4001024ELDCGE-K) I want to buy another to have 2gb will this be ok on my mobo and will I be able to run at 1t?

No, you won't be able to run @ 1T.

The only boards that do that with the four slots occupied are the eXpert and the RDX200.

Shut down, disconnect power

Clear CMOS

disconnect the SATA drive

Power up

Boot into bios

Load Optimized Defaults

Save changes

reboot into bios and make necesssary changes a few at a time. With save and reboot between changes. Changes that are "no go" in memory timings will result in head ache...

Shut down, disconnect power (if you like, I usually do nothing but shutdown and hook up sata drive power and I never even unhook the SATA data cables only power.)

Connect SATA drive

power up

Boot into windows

RGone...

You'll loose bandwidth...

You won't be able to OC very high with the 4 sticks.
