I installed an Enermax 80mm fan just as you described and my chipset temps are still 50-55 degrees idle and as high as 58 degrees on load. I must solve this problem. What can I do? quisman Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 i noticed w/ the 80 mm fan running with my case open the chipset was as low as with liquid cooling, but as soon as I closed up my case it shot back up to high temps. There are some modded heatsinks floating around the forums if you search them out. Otherwise, liquid cooling was a big answer back for me. Good luck.
