Angry_Games Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 Hi everyone, Two questions. 1. How do I determine what BIOS version I have? 2. What do the astericks mean on the DFI website concerning recommended memory? http://www.dfi.com.tw/Support/mb_faq_us1.j...TYPE=US&SITE=US 1: 2. i dont have any idea but i will ask
kukyfrope Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 I would have liked to have seen some G.skill in this test. Wonder why they didn't try it?? Probably because they were too busy running it in their own rigs to want to take it out!
rhiridflaidd Posted March 30, 2005 Posted March 30, 2005 My ballistix has now been totally problem free at 260mhz since 301 - hence my absence from this forum!
dshoffman Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 Yeah, I finally realized that the "SPLASH SCREEN" was hiding all the information I was used to seeing. I did just flash my bios to 3/10. The settings (not sure what term to use) for my memory are 3-3-8-3. MEMTEST86 detected 0 problems. I just installed the 2nd KINGSTON DIMM to total 1GB. I am doing NO OVERCLOCKING of anykind at this point. Every once in a while, the system will simply RESET, or just stop responding. Usually happens when I am in a game like 1/2 life 2 or DOOM3. Any suggestions?
teetu Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 i think i'm going to go ballistix too- $211 shipped is too good to pass up at newegg.
