Kronic_187 Posted November 5, 2004 Posted November 5, 2004 OK, i'm pretty sure i corrupted my BIOS, either that, or my mob is suffering ONE HELL OF A COLD/WARM BOOT i was running memtest, then i tightened up my alpha timings, rebooted and BAM, nothing wouldn't post. so far i've tried clesring cmos, popping the battery. still nothing. i'm going to leave it with the battery out and cmos jumper set to clear over night an see if that works. i'm using an NF2 Ultra Infinity. my bios savior should be here any day, but the trouble is i have to have a bios on it for it to work... any tips from the resident sista pimps would be greatly appreciated. Kronic_187 Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 well, while i'm waiting for my bios savior to get here, i'm gonna pick up some BH-5 off e-bay and pray that it is indeed the ram in the pictures (kingston hyper x, the code matchs a BH-5 confirmed) and a new heatsink better then my zalman cnps-7000 was thinking off a slk-900a/u or perhaps a 947. opinions of the 3 ? which is better ??? RGone Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 works fine for me and no real chance of mounting it wrongly and breaking any little smc resistors off that are in close confines when using the U series of Themalright on the board. Sincerely, RGone... as usual.
