Guest viking Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 first of all im new here and maybe i scouldnt say this as my first replay i dont think the toaster sign is anything worth as long its no done whit cpc on i think most of u run it whit cpc off just look at the low 3dmark01 score i run 10.5x232 2.3.2.11 cpc on and score around 19350 in 3dmark01 whit vidocard @ stock speed im not trying to complaine or make any troubles and pls do tell me if im all wrong sry for my bad english
soundx98 Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 First of all, a big "Welcome to the Forum" to ya. Nice to see a sig in your 1st post. Thanks for reading the sticky's. The 3D01 part is more a stability test for toaster not a "High Score" test. Pretty sure 99% of Toaster contestants are at default Video Card settings. Most of the guys with 2x256 modules are running with CPC ON. Most of the time 2x512 modules will require that CPC is OFF to achieve a higher FSB. But interesting observation and nice 1st post. You can post pics of your ugly self and your rig in the off topic section.
Guest viking Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 i doubt that 2x512mb give 3-5000 points more in 3dmark01 compare to 2x256mb *im running 2x512mb* i use to run whit cpc off 2.2.2.11 but its so mutch faster whit cpc on @ 2.3.2.11 and if u can run prime 1 hr then im 99.9999999% sure that u also can run 3dmark01 even if u only can prime 10 min it well easy run 3dmark01 what im trying to say theres no reson to run 250mzh whit cpc off when it well be just as fast whit 240mzh whit cpc on
ICON57 Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 No toaster for Intel. that suks...looking at your oc's, you deserve a toaster sig too!
red930 Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 1st of all it's like Soundx98 says 3dmark is only for stability test, not to see how high you can score. I look at it like a series of hurdles. Be able to get into windows, then pass 3dmark,then pass prime requirement. It's not as easy as you think or everybody would sport a toaster. Then again some people have set certain goals for themselves, outside of toaster requirements,I can do 10.5x240 1t dc 2x512 2,2,2,8 toaster ready, but that's not enough for me,I want 250+ fsb and 2600mhz ,but thats just my own personal goal, and if it takes cpc off to do it I feel no shame. I've been at 260 fsb,I've had good 3dmark scores, but I'm not prime stable 8hrs+ there doesn't matter what it takes to get a toaster,as long as your satisfied with it. ICON57 Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 yeah, its all good, I am happy with my rig and its stability. I have a 3.4EE cpu on my othe rig(max3 mobo) I was thinking of pulling it and trying on the dfi mobo, but what a pita...as its on a wc setup. But i am curious to see if i can get a higher oc on the dfi mobo. On the max3 all i can do is about 225fsb with a somewhat stable oc. based on what i have seen so far the 875B gets a better oc than my max3.
