j2t Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 First, I think your budget would be handy cause that will really limit it. If price is no option then go for a Mountain Mods UFO case
squares Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 The Antec 900 has good airflow, and can hold up to 6 harddrives, but it isnt the biggest on the inside.

cdoggown Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 Im partial to Lian-Li cases. Great fit and finish and extremely easy to work with. I just picked up the PC-60, which may not be big enough for you, but check them out.
suchuwato Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 http://www.lian-li.com/product/product06.p...ex=6&type=b ? I'm partial to them too If not, then check out a cube config, like exeter_acres' case...
steveyg_uk Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 WOW thats what I call quick response time ! They all seem good but are they? What are the internall running temps of these things. Are there any cases that really run like a fridge / freezer does? I've never touched water cooling, how good is it ? I've seen these cases - http://www.thermaltake.com/product/Chassis...serVIindex.html now they look cool and seem to be good cases. Whilst they are not on sale yet, just wondering if I should go for one of these. Just nervous about having water inside a PC. :-) Nervous Stevey G. j2t Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 You could always look for an original CoolerMaster Stacker, I love mine and it has plenty of room for hard drives
grahamdunstan Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 I just got the Antec P-182 se its a very nice case not loads of room inside but still plenty the psu and 4xhard drives are in a seprate area at the bottom of the case so this helps in keeping the case temp down mine stays about 28c - 32c have a look - http://www.tech.co.uk/computing/upgrades-a...w/antec-p182-se http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5c8OL7UoU0 hope this helps :->

This is my case - https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/...productId=24546 The effects of a case on temperature is based off of 2 things, the amount of airflow it allows and its pattern, and also case material. Airflow is something you can change by adding more fans and holes and positioning them intelligently. Case material is important because the case can absorb some of the warm air inside and transfer it out to the atmosphere. Aluminum is the best, steel second, and I think plastic is better than acryllic, but I don't really know. No case runs like a fridge, the best you can hope for is not too far above ambient temps. Now with water cooling, you are still going to have above ambient temps, if you buy a good set ($200+ generally) you can beat the best air cooling ($50-60) by a few degrees Maybe more if you your proccy is putting out allot of heat. Not worth it to me, unless you need a fun project. This is because both air and water cooling both vent all their heat into the atmosphere. If you are wanting sub ambient, you need to look into phase change systems. Watch out, those are expensive. And I really don't know much about them. Shadowfactor Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 Agreed with Schwag. I have a water cooling system and it's never going to get below ambient temps but I do get really good temps on it... Personally I like the Antec 900 as I have one. It's a great case and has a lot of fans... The Antec 900 can support up to 9 Hdd's. The case has slide in bay's for the Hard drives which have a fan on the front to cool them and also they have a rear fan bracket to improve airflow into the case. great case. It has enough room in it. what I have in my: System ( duhh...) 2:SLI 8800 GT Water cooling setup ( listed below ) minus radiator. That sits outside the case on top of the 250mm fan. about 6 feet of tubing. 3 Hard drives. 1 dvd-burner... The case deff has enough room. It's a little crammed now but it all fits
