Alright guys I have come to you in the time of need....I realize that like 90 percent of the members on here are Intel guys but pretty much all of you are overclockers(obviously) so I need your help. I really would like to get my 4800 up to 3.0Ghz but there are SOO many settings in my bios I have like no idea what most of them are for especially the memory ones and I would really appreciate any help as to informing me as to which ones are safe to change and which ones I should leave alone...not trying to melt my cpu. Below is a copy verbatim of my bios settings and what it allows me to change each one to...once again any help is realy appreciated guys.

I have all of the options in parantheses....i think i spelled that right..lol..oh well.

Let me start off with the idle temp(as stated in my bios)37-38C

Current Freq. 2750MHz

Vcore- 1.35v (1.30-2.075)

fsb- 220 (200-400)

multiplier- 12.5x (4x-12.5x)

DDR2 Voltage- 1.90V (1.75-2.50)

NB 1.2V- 1.30v (1.2-1.5)

NB PCI-E 1.2V- 1.30v (1.2-1.4)

SB 1.5V- 1.6v (1.5-2.0)

Hyper-Transport Voltage- 1.3v (1.2-1.35)

DDR2 Reference Voltage- -30mV (-60mV to +60mV)

K8<->NB HT Speed- Auto (1x-5x)

K8<->NB HT Width- Auto (down 8, up 8 or down 16, up 16)

NB-->SB HT Speed- Auto (1x-5x)

NB<->SB HT Width- Auto (down 8, up 8 or down 16, up 16)

PCI Express bus(PCIEXP1)- Hyperclock GPU (100Mhz-200Mhz)

PCI Express bus (PCIEXP2)- Hyperclock GPU " "

NB<->SB Reference clock- Auto (200.0-500.0)

SSE/SSE2 Instructions- Enabled

System BIOS Cacheable- Enabled

NVIDIA GPU Ex- Disabled (not sure that that is)

Init Display First- PCIEXP1

this is the really comfusing part for me and im not sure i should mess with it until i get my new ram(geil orange sticks) but i still wanna learn so I mise as well try on my patriot i have now i guess

DRAM CONFIGURATION:

Current DRAM Status 800-5-5-5-12-2T

DRAM Timing Selectable- Auto (auto or manual)

DRAM Clock- DDR800 (400, 533, 667, 800)

CAS Latency- Auto (3,4,5,6)

RAS-CAS Delay(Trcd)- 5 clocks (3,4,5,6)

Row Precharge Time(Trp)- 5 clocks (3.4.5.6)

Min. RAS Act-Time(Tras)- 12 clocks (5-18)

Command Rate- Auto (1t, 2t)

DQS Timing Training- Skip DQS (Skip, Perform)

CKE Base Power Down Mode- Enabled

CKE Base Power Down By- Channel (Channel or Chipselect)

Memclock Tri-Stating- Disabled

Twtr Command Delay- 3 clocks (1,2,3)

Trfc0 for DIMM1- 127.5ns

Trfc1 for DIMM2- 75ns

Trfc2 for DIMM3- 75ns

Trfc3 for DIMM4- 75ns

Write Recovery Time(Twr)- 6 clocks (3.4,5,6)

Precharge Time(Trtp)- 2 clocks (2,3)

Row Cycle Time(Trc)- 21 clocks (11-26)

RAS to RAS Delay(Trrd)- 3 clocks (2,3,4,5)

Memory Hole Remapping- enabled

Auto Optimize Bottom IO- enabled

x-[31:24] IO Space- EO

ok guys thats all of it. i know its alot and i dont expect you all to read it but any help would be really nice..this is just a hobbie for me but im always up for a challenge and i love learning new stuff so 3.0Ghz here we come:).

turn you ht link to 4x and your ram to 667 that will kind of set a divider and it won't shut down on you

smaller text please, and spitting out bios settings doesnt tell me anything about your computer except you have an AMD 4800+?

please state everything else in your system that may help to see why you cant get to 3ghz.
