kendellrt Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 I decided that I would make this post to assist me in my search for a new case. I would like to know what your favorite case is, and why. You can name any case, but I am looking for something at a reasonable price (not a $225 Silverstone), with ample room to install an 8800 series video card, conducive to cable management, and with good cooling. Am I asking for too much? I will be housing the components in my sig in this case. I have looked at all sides of the scale, from the Centurion 5, to the Antec 900. I am afraid the Centurion 5 will not have enough room, and all of the reviews of the 900 say that it has NOWHERE to hide cables. Arkadiy Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 Not sure exactly, but I rather get a case to BIG then a case to small.
kendellrt Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 I'm all about a big case. I am thinking of the Stacker - the older one, not the new awesome expensive one. I have also looked at the Enermax Uber Chakra and the Tt Eureka.
Fireonice Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 I would check out the Thermaltake Armor or even the smaller mini version. Is one of my personal faviorites for the features that the cases offer excpcially the big fan on the side thats offered.
Makaveli Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 I have the SilverStone TJ-06 with a window. It's perfect for my setup and I like it because it's simple and sleek. I dunno, I like big cases that aren't visually obtrusive.
oldfett Posted April 7, 2007 Posted April 7, 2007 I have the P180b and I love it. It is very roomy to work in, good looking IMO, keeps everything very cool and above all is silent. However, it is a little on the heavy side to move around and near impossible for wire management as it has all the separate compartments. I have that too, but keep in mind, it's not that flashy, and the fans included are ridiculously slow. I myself like the Lian PC-60/61 Windowed. But I have a Apevia X-Pleasure using my 8800GTS (Chemning/Cheiftec Full Tower) But it's really flimsy and slight cramped
