94Camaro Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 (edited) lol here in the UK standard fuel is 95 RON and Premium is 98-101 Our fuel is rated by PON rather than RON, so 95 RON is ~91PON Our 87 is approx. your 91, our 94 ~your 98, etc. I too am a member of the 91 octane club. gotdamojo06 Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 I have always gone with 89 octane gas in my cars, never put 87 in mine just because you do get better mpg... but lucky you on the bonus supercharger...
bigred Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 eh, my 473 liked a strange mix in the 55gallon tank. 50 gallons of 97 octane, 2 1/2 gallons diesel, and 2 1/2 gallons AV fuel / JP5. do that once a month and that beast was happy. the 460 doesn't seem to like the AV fuel part though. so it's only 2 1/2 gallons diesel mixed in

bigred Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 a mechanic I'd taken the truck to while I was learning my thru things. he's actually one of those people I still take my trucks to in michigan when it's more than my staff can handle. which in reality was a LOT on that 473. they're rare and O'Brien's is one of a handful of places around who knew anything about them. he suggested that mix and it worked.
