Anybody else go skiing?? I lived in Tahoe and those were the great days. fresh POWDER every day!! Recently moved around a bit and visited most resorts in NC and over xmas went to Taos and it was amazing. Snowed every day and only 60 dollars for lift ticket. All the diomand chutes were open and it wasnt crowded at all. Although, the best place to ski is in the Italian alps...

Haven't in quite some time....

But grew up skiing.... Raced for the University of Colorado ski team and then raced USSA and FIS with the US development team.....

Was a downhill specialist, but raced all events.....

lived in Steamboat Springs for about 5 years after college....

then when I was a bit older... did more backcountry skiing than anything else....

We would snowshoe or climb up something then ski down... camp out and then do it again in the morning.....

Now I live in Michigan... and ummm there isn;t that much back country here so haven't been in a while

hells yea I ski! I am going to Lech, Austria in 3 weeks for 1 week, I went there since I was about 6. Last year when I lived in Ohio I went to brandywine Hills, god those mogles are CRAP!

Lol brandywine is horrible. Id much rather go to Holiday Valley, Peak n Peak, Seven Springs or Snowshoe.

Add another skier!

Although I will be trying snowboarding next friday when my school has a ski day. I used to go ski in Austria back a while, Semmering wasn't a bad place. Nowadays I go to Whistler Blackcomb or somewhere close.

i prefer boarding to skiing... more tiring, requires a lot more physical strength and endurance, but also a lot more fun...

me learning to land jumps

that's in Champagny-en-Vanoise, France... at the end of the week we jumped off a log cabin roof that was on the slope! haha... was fun that season

last time i went to Mahrhofen, Austria... and i've also been to somewhere in Westvirginia that might have a name like chewing gum (Winterfresh? lol) :)

I love to ski the best i have been to is Park City, Utah and Keystone, CO

Really you liked Park City? That is probably our worst ski resort here in Utah, next time hit up Snowbird or Alta.

Wooo! Skiers! Yeah, I've been skiing since I was 7 and it's been great. I hadn't gone in a while but this year I forced my dad to take me and took a couple of friends. My dad and I skiied (sp?) and my friends snowboarded. One friend ended up crashing into a pole and was out for a while and the other just wasn't all that great so every once in a while my dad and I would just "race down the hill" and have some fun and left the beginners in the dust. I also love skiing on the half-pipes and trick parks for boarders and showing them up!

Either your on crack or you have never skied before. Not only is it physically easier but I was able to teach myself how to snowboard and get down most hills easily after 3 times up.

Iv been a skiier since I was about 5. I currently am sporting a pair of pocket rockets (love em, they're great on almost everything) and I have a seasons pass to Crystal Mountain up here in Washington. Actually I am going up to the mountain tomorrow to tear it up :thumbs-up:

erm... try boarding for a week and trying to keep up with experienced skiiers... guaranteed you will have to make TWICE as much physical effort as a skiier on a variety of FLAT sections, icey double blacks, moguls, and busy sections with ski-schools taking up the entire width of a run...

EVERY single snowboarder was more tired than the skiiers... if you don't know what i mean, you probably are just going down at your own pace, rather than a SKIIERS pace
