jammin Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 Do buttons really need to be animated?
Silverfox Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 Do buttons really need to be animated? (no) but the average n00b likes animation sadly...
flareback Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 They look really good however, in my opinion (and remember that opinions are like *******'s, everyone has one). the lines in the background are too light, maybe try darkening them up a bit as in the actuall occ logo. Other than that they look good how about a button with a little less animation? Just a thought. What did you use to make those? sdy284 Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 (edited) Do buttons really need to be animated? (no) but the average n00b likes animation sadly... exactly Plus it draws attention to the button I added a 3rd button with no motion effects to my original post They look really good however, in my opinion (and remember that opinions are like *******'s, everyone has one). the lines in the background are too light, maybe try darkening them up a bit as in the actuall occ logo. What did you use to make those? I tried that & it looked better with a little lighter grid. jammin Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 exactly Plus it draws attention to the button It's just that when I think about buttons which I have a fondness for (the Get Firefox or Songbird buttons for example) they are generally static buttons. As for drawing attention to the button, that may or may not be true and would have to be looked into in more detail. I am personally a little put off animation, as something which is animated is generally an advert of some kind. So it has the opposite affect on me.
