Gran Turismo For Pc

Anyone know of a good sim racing game that is like Gran Turismo/Sega GT/etc for PC? I just got my old racing wheel out and am looking for a good racing game that is more sim style where you start from nothing and have to build up. Also, I really like being able to upgrade cars instead of just buying new ones...any suggestions?

Also, I'll look into the new NFS game...haven't really seen too much about it lately.

GTR2 is a nice sim, but doesnt have the upgradability and customizations that make a game popular online and last long. I dont have the full version, but have played the hell outta the demo(racing your own ghost car is strangely thrilling).

NFS carbon looks like it will be great though, I especially like the idea of joining a "class". Car selection looks pretty nice too - they not only will have the new challenger, but the new camaro as well :D(can you tell which class I will join??? ) . Not as many cars as, say, a grand turismo game(it only has around 45 i think), but its near endless customization options make up for it. Has most of the popular little econo boxes that are popular these day too - with a touch of some niiiice imports that deserve respect from the rwd crew(i've learned at bithlo that modded skylines and sti's should not be taken lightly...).

I'm definatly going to get it to waste what little free time I have ;)

I love my cars, and I have been playing this for some time now - its soooo good

You have around 20 cars (the updates add more)

It has multiplayer

The settings are soooo editable (sp?)

Time Trial

Training

The game playes soooo good. I use my mouse, move the mouse up to accelerate, down to brake left to go left etc.

I played GTR2 and I didn't like it, it feels to arcadey like...try out the LFS demo on that link ^^^

 Enjoy

Do you have a steering wheel / pedal setup?

Where you playing on "simulation" difficulty?

if you answered no to any of those questions, then you weren't taking in all GTR2 has to offer.

You can't play GTR2 or any racing game for that matter and have it feel not "arcadey" without at least a decent wheel/pedal setup
