Verran Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 Well, I bet there'll be a lot of folks posting Opteron results in the next week or so, so I figure why not start a thread.... (haven't seen one yet) So I'll start So far I've hit 250x11 (2750mhz) at stock vcore, and max temp from the 30min OCCT test was 42c, with ambient at 21c. Got my PDP XBL at 3-4-4-8-1T and 2.85v. I'm wondering how much further it'll run at this point. I'm hoping it'll at least get to 272, since that'll put me at 3ghz Here's a pic with the OCCT results, CPU-Z, and SuperPI stuff. But rest assured that I'll test this sucker with everything I've got before I pick a final speed Also, I have the most recent version of CPU-Z (1.30) as of today, so I figure they just haven't updated it to show the core name and proper socket config. And as far as benches, none yet, but I should have a few before I go to bed tonight, I hope And on the topic of buying them, I'm not so sure you can anymore. You can get opteron 939s, but getting a CABNE was TOUGH a week ago, and I think I got one of the last, but anything's possible. lilkev715 Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 What stepping/week is your Opteron 148? I've noticed the 939 opterons run anywhere from 5-10C warmer compared to the Winchester/Venice CPU's. At 2.6+ ghz they have a TDP of 104+ watts! (assuming stock vCore, higher TDP with more volts). I am patiently waiting for my 2 146's to come in from monarch .
