Uploading On A Remote Ftp Server?

Hey, im trying to upload a podcast on a remote ftp server, ive got the login info and stuff but i dont really know how to upload it. Any tips?

Its like downloading only reverse.

 

If you login using IE then all it is, is just copy from your machine, paste onto the server.

 

Same principle with using whatever software you are using.

In Explorer type this into the address bar

ftp://username:[email protected]

 

Of course replace username with your user name, password with your password, and 0.0.0.0 with the server IP.

It will open just like a normal folder and you can go from there.

 

An alternative is to get a ftp program such as aceftp or flashfxp. they should have setup menus and fairly self explanitory.

try googling filezilla i have found this to be an excellent and easy to use program on both the server side and client side.

lots of ftp programs you can use, smartftp, ws_ftp (all free kinda i guess)

or u can use IE, since it can FTP like savethe pointed out. but i dont like IE's ftp. but i <3 IE, just isnt the best for FTPing. u can also use ur cmd screen to ftp
