Drill Hole

Recommended Posts

I was wondering...I have a Xaser II case and would really like to have like 1 or 2 fans at the top of the case...I hear its a great way for increased airflow...How would I go about doing this...My airflow is not the greatest at the moment...5 fans...2 front, 2 rear, 1 window...Would like to get at least one on top.

One on top would certainly increase airflow.

although I think that those 5 fans are pretty good already.

I assume you have the front intake, and the rear exhaust.

I guess the side will also be intake.

if you counted your power supply with the rear you have more intake then exhaust which is not preferable.

otherwise you should be balanced.

if you have more intake then exhaust a 120mm fan on top would be nice.

they have more airflow, and less noise.

if you want you can also take 2 80mm but I would prefere the 120mm

there are some guides on how to install 1 in the review section of this page.

good luck

you can use whatever you can find to get that metal out.

you can drill holes and cut in between,

you can also use one of those electrical-thin-(about 0.5cm wide)-up-and-down-going-saw-blade-machines

the one you can make corners with.

they should be excelent for a job like this.

drill a hole 1cm of the edge, and just saw it out.

dremels are usefull, but not a must. sometimes this tools is even better

if someone can understand my description, please tell us what it is called.
