bishop245 Posted February 8, 2003 Posted February 8, 2003 as Mikeock said the holesaw works great for drilling holes and they come in sizes up to 4" that ive seen or if your lucky like me you can use a hydrolic knockout which my company has upto a 6" one lol good luck however you do it

exeter_acres Posted February 14, 2003 Posted February 14, 2003 Instead of cutting a hole, what does everyone or anyone think about just drilling a tight pattern of holes.. then mounting the fan?? Any thoughts? ME
intel_inside Posted February 14, 2003 Posted February 14, 2003 Instead of cutting a hole, what does everyone or anyone think about just drilling a tight pattern of holes.. then mounting the fan?? Any thoughts? ME im sure it would work but it would be better to jus cut out a hole that way you have the least amount of air-flow restriction

bishop245 Posted February 15, 2003 Posted February 15, 2003 80mm is real close to 3" unless i am mistaken edit: i just checked and yes they are very close if not exact in size
exeter_acres Posted February 15, 2003 Posted February 15, 2003 80mm = 3.15 inches... so if you go to Lowes or HD or anyother hardware store and buy a 3 inch hole drill bit... it should do just fine... how much is left... ..15 in = 0.38x10^1 millimeters what does that mean?? Bottom line is a 3 inch hole bit would be perfect.. Don't waste shipping, go to the hardware store. Curtis
