Retail is a good place to start. I started @ 6.50 as a courtesy clerk. Its honest, hourly work, and you get consistant money to dream and plan with.

Man you guys should work for UPS or Fedex you start at around $10 an hour there at most hubs. It sucks, but it's work, what the hell do you want?

like any job retail has it's ups and downs. I'm actually looking forward to leaving retail, and going back to the corporate world (hopefully fortune 500 at least). and to tell you the truth, there were days in retail where no amount of money could cover the stress and frustration.

i started @ 6.75 @ target (retail) and got a .25 raise after 3 months, then a few days ago, got a 45 cent raise for being there a year and being a pimp. I agree that retail is good to start with, but its not something you can make a living off of, but for being 17, 7.45 isnt half bad when they schedule you ~30hrs a week.

Its ok things happen like this all the time, just be glad you caught it be for you started. Good luck trying to find another job. :thumbs-up:

good point. you would have looked REAL dumb if you'd taken this scam.

 

I'm glad you had enough sense to look at folk's opinions here and go seek the truths of others via google .
