  1. Yea, 24 years old! Man talk about over the hill. LOL.
  2. If you are just going to be gaming and have no delusions of hyper-multitasking then just get a single core CPU.
  3. Yea, with a Tt water cooler you are better off with air.
  4. Yes, and those are later than the 5.11 drivers, I don't really see how this is a correction?
  5. The X1800 series ATi cards with cat 5.11 drivers or later are faster than Nvidia in OpenGL applications.
  6. Don't EVER trust software readings of voltages, temperatures, etc...

I found this in literally 12 seconds using Google.
  8. The Corsair kit is just a Swiftech MCW6002 painted black. That said, they are pretty good CPU blocks.

Yes, there is a single and multi player demo, atleast there was before the game came out.
  10. As far as I know the last card that let people play a game over more than one monitor was the Matrox Parahelia which is ancient by today's standards.
  11. The Jaton card is a 6200TC. TC stands for Turbo Cache, which despite its name is anything but turbo. It shares your memory with your system ram creating a horrible bottleneck and killing performance. Stay AWAY from the 6200TC models.
  12. Give your video card its own cable. All other devices are fine on the same cable. Just use common sense, don't put 18 120mm fans on one molex or something and you will be fine.
  13. Yea, you'll need it to catch my X1800XT on water .
  14. FEAR would pose a problem for a 6800GT at either of those resolutions on max settings.
  15. If you are going to be multitasking that much I would suggest a dual core for you.
  16. Yea, it is here at Ewiz at that price for the past 3 weeks or so. I have only posted that link on this board ohhh, about 44,000 times.
  17. If you plan on overclocking I would ditch the Biostar. For overclocking look at DFI and then MSI in that order. If you want a simple, cost effective stable board (not that the other two aren't stable either) look at a Gigabyte. I have also never been a fan of Corsair ram, but that isn't a huge issue, especially if you don't plan on OCing. The rest of the parts look great, I built a PC for a friend using that CPU, PSU and video card. It runs great for him.
  18. You can find an OEM X1800XT for $465. Believe me, I bought one for that price. That is a significant savings. Also, I popped the stock cooler off and put a Maze 4 on it the second I got it, so much for any warranty, so who cares if it isn't retail.
  19. No complaints with my Opteron. Until I start seeing some good gains on the majority of games with dual core I will stick to the better clocking single core.
  20. I don't get why everyone is so hesitant to get OEM cards...?
  21. No RTS can eclipse Star Craft as the all time greatest. I guess that is why it has sold more than any other
  22. I honestly don't know if you can fit a dual 120mm radiator on the top of your case. If you can, go for it. I prefer to put the radiator at the bottom front of the case as you have better options for getting cool air to pass through it and you can maintain standard ATX airflow for you entire case. It is also very hard to bleed the air out of your radiator when it is at the top of your case. I advise that you use a T-line rather than a resevior as I have yet to see a resevior that doesn't end up cracking and leaking eventually. For a pump you should use the Laing D5 pump. It has been rebranded as both the Swiftech MCP655 and the Danger Den D5.
  23. Zalman is coming out with a new VGA cooler called the VF900 you can read more about it (and see pics) here.
  24. I believe that the biggest rad that you can fit into the front of those Lian Li midtowers is a Thermochill PA160. It is a great radiator and is nearly as good as a dual 120mm setup. For a good system expect to pay $250+ more if you decide to cool your GPU.
