Guest udoshia Posted May 16, 2005 Posted May 16, 2005 I have just installed new hardware in my old case. It is running real hot. Like a blow dryer in the hot setting. I have spent a couple of weeks reading reviews and I think what I want is either a case built with cooling installed or swiftech H20-120. The problem if I go with putting one in my exhisting case is running tubes from a top bay. I have: Case: Aopen HXO8 full tower case Motherboard: Gigabyte K8NS Ultra 939 Processor: AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3500 Video Card: e-GeForce 6800 ultra 256MB DDR3 AGP 8X Memory: 2, I GB DDR PC4000
zigen Posted May 16, 2005 Posted May 16, 2005 i think the reason is that you have no intakes or exhausts (except the one above psu)
The_WRATH Posted May 16, 2005 Posted May 16, 2005 for a water setup you certainly have lots of room to play with in your case, but you dont have any clutter in your case so it looks like you have fine airflow. my guess is that its just the hot air coming off of your cpu cooler and gfx card. what you need isnt a water system, its just better cooling, and a means of getting the hot air out of the case like zigen said (intakes)
