invidious Posted April 3, 2005 Posted April 3, 2005 (edited) i was installing a 92mm tornado that for some reason didnt have a fan grill, after getting it installed i powered up the computer and after a few mins went to touch the heatsink. My thumb ended up in the fan. the fan blade snapped off after digging into my thumb and taking off a small chunk of flesh. luckily it happened so fast it didnt start bleeding until i got my hand out of the computer. no scars, except my pride. i had a hard drive sitting on the top of my case and there was a glass of soda on my desk next to the case. i guess i bumped into the desk, but somehow the hard drive fell down and landed IN THE SODA. i tried to dry it off, but needless to say its dead. luckily it was only a 10gb. bigears Posted April 3, 2005 Posted April 3, 2005 trying to put a second hard drive in, got the jumpers compleatly the wrong way, not in any listed configuration, wiped out all the data on the drive. tryed to re-wire the the 24 pin atx plug to 20 pins. big mistakes, it takes hours getting the pins out, but at least i got them back in the 20 plug in the right order, could have been ugly otherwise looking at pron for 1 1/2 hours without realising that its charging 1.50 a min for the call. blamed it on hackers, stealing the phoneline. Muddy Posted April 3, 2005 Posted April 3, 2005 lets see. I cut off a 60mm fan from my computer. Tested it with a 9v battery. So i was like cool! So i used tape to stick the wires to the battery. Well i got bored of that so i went to my garage and found a propane blow torch and attempted to weld the wires to the battery. Well i melted the battery. Luckily the inside stuff didnt get out. asus Posted April 3, 2005 Posted April 3, 2005 i got mad and pulled my heatsink off with a pair of plyers.. i put ram in backward.. fried the motherboard.. but the ram was fine droped a screwdriver on a video card when the comptuer was on and kicked my computer out the the street, then i smashed it until it was all busted up.. broke my keyboad in the dishwasher lol tried to clean my cpu with an electric toothbrush.. "it did work " left my computer on the floor lying open.. went to sleep.. my mother steped in it and broke the mobo.. ram, cpu, ect... thoes are the stupid things i have done lol...
