bigr5026 Posted March 12, 2005 Posted March 12, 2005 i have a ?, on my lanparty nf3, the mobo actually is flexing slightly in my case. Not reapply bad like a 4 degree flex at the most. Will this break my mobo edit, it is exactly in the position of the cpu socket retainer, should i loosen the screw mounting the mobo by that socket. ccokeman Posted March 13, 2005 Posted March 13, 2005 You might want to check and see if you standoff are all the same hieght. I had that happen to me once.
ravix Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 Do you have a screw on heatsink, or a clip on? If it is screw-on you are probably putting too much pressure on the heatsink and I would relax it a little, if not, then I would check the standoffs as ccokeman said. If neither of those solutions solve your problem, I wouldn't worry about it. Its one of those things like temps > 50degrees, a lot of people don't mind it, but I try to avoid it because I like things perfect. HoLoDreaM Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 standoffs.. at first when i put the mobo into my case i thought it would fit without standoffs and it wouldnt fit into the rear I/O port... so i had to install standoffs and it fit just right.. check all of them
mrsinister Posted March 15, 2005 Posted March 15, 2005 ahhhh! get that fixed. Just the sound of a motherboard breaking makes me shiver Likle the people said before, standoffs if that doesnt help just put something not conductie under your motherboard
NoNothing Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 im sure its nothing, ive had a mobo flex to about 10* once, but id see if you cant determine the cause of it. does it flex when its out of the case?
alown Posted March 16, 2005 Posted March 16, 2005 well at lest, it is better to be flexing than, no flexing and snapping. the stiffer something the easier it snaps
