Hyper Threaded Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 Why would you actually need to do that, though? For every practical reason, an LR3 or Grand Cherokee is just as good as that hideous monstroucity. All those big things are good for is showing-off. InvaderTrax Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 Well, I really like my '98 Tacoma 4x4, but if I had some money, I'd go with this (except with the extended cab, B2600)

Any real off roader doesn't add anything to their truck that won't make it more functional

Any real off roader doesn't add anything to their truck that won't make it more functional wow, someone who understands it! that truck may have $80k or more into it, and has no AC (infact all the hardware has been removed). there's a difference between a show lift an a work lift on a truck. a show lift is on a brand new ram or f150. a work lift is not nearly as high, yet adds serious weight and strength to the trucks suspension (ala the huge axles). LoArmistead Posted November 12, 2004 Posted November 12, 2004 1996 Bronco XLT with a 351 Cleveland. Granted those new Bronco's look like they belong in Judge Dredd or something, but the older ones are awesome.

Work trucks are the guys with 37's and dana 60's or if they're ridiculous work trucks, 2.5 ton Rockwells and the Judge Dredd thing is hilarious, it does look like it would fit in that movie Edited November 12, 2004 by sdy284

Granted those new Bronco's look like they belong in Judge Dredd or something, but the older ones are awesome. 92-96 bronco's dont' interest me mechanically. they lost a lot of the goods. 78-79 had it all. 80-86 lost a little. 90-92 put some of it back. 92-96 was just a bit box as far as the good ol' 351... get a windsor. they hold up a lot better in the long run.
