Mobile Users! Need Your Input!

Recommended Posts

-for the benefit of the new mobile users (primarily 2400 & 2500 users, but 2600 would be just fine to see as well) and the old experimentalists who may be ineterested, please post your chip voltages associated with the speeds youre running and how theyve worked for you. i know theyre all different but they should be somewhat close overall. at least enough to give a general idea of what speed needs what voltage.

-im attempting to figure out a roadmap to point to a general idea of where things should be or be close to. reasoning is im upping things slowly, however i dont want to overvolt the chip if it dosent need it. but i dont want to perpetually be on the low side of things where i always have an extremely minor instability.

-currently for me its been like this (and stable):

1.45=2000 (200x10)

1.50=2200 (210x10.5)

1.75=2300 (210x11)

1.60=2350+(215x11)

-at 218x11 and 1.625v ive just now noticed slight hangups or glitches even though ive passed prime and folding for 24 hours. so slight movements in voltage are probably necesary however i dont want to overdo it or under do it.

so please, any help for myself and others woudl be great.

if its readable...heres my most stable so far. perhaps ill get 218 over soem time but i think thats my highest ill get out of the mem.

i ain't got a mobile yet but i'm running at 1.825v... and mobile's are more manly than my desktop and can eat 1.825v for breakfast... you could easily give it this much... basically, yer not in any danger of overdoing it...

have you tried 11.5x 12x yet?

Will run @ 2205 stable, 1.75 vcore. I could do 2400 with 1.9v but had probs. Most likely mobo.

BTW: hardnrg, I think you should be able to get alittle more out of yours.

I could get 2205 + on my K7N2 Delta-L w/ 2500. I had xms pc 3200 though.

Check exeter_acres rig :ph34r:

And :foldon:

i think the cpu has a stability wall at 192fsb... it just won't run stable any faster... maybe it's the combination of it with the value ram... i'm interested in getting either an xp-m or a DFI-UI to see what difference that makes... but you know what will happen... i'll buy both and some ocz/mushkin and then no food for me for 3 months! :lol:

sounds like im a little low on voltage....could explain some minor minor hangs and error reports windows keeps trying to send. even though im set at 1.6v now the MBM5 shows 1.58...its undervolting a little and overvolting on the mem a full .1....wich is kinda neet, but anyway ill set it up at 1.65 and see how it handles 210x11.5

keep it commin everyone. (looks like 2.4 needs about 1.7v +/- .05)

OK...looking through notes and giving away secrets :ph34r:

with my 2500+ Mobile (stepping IQYFA)

200 x 10 = 2004 (Lan party always adds a half Mhz or so.....) 1.45vCore

210 x 10 = 2104 1.675

220 x 10 = 2205 1.7 vcore

215 x 10.5 =2262 1.725

214 x 11 =2362 1.775

220 x 11 =2425 1.8 vcore

235 x 10.5 = 2473 1.825 vcore

250 x 10 = 2505 1.9 vcore

244 x 10.5 = 2567 1.95 vCore

(all figures are AT LEAST 8 hours Prime95 stable)

Since moved the 2500+ to my wifes machine to undervolt and run silent....

Now playing with a 2600+ (stepping IQYHA)

So far with the 2600+ Mobile

200 x 10 = 2004 1.45 vCore

220 x 10 = 2205 1.65 vCore

214 x 11 = 2362 1.675

220 x 11 = 2425 1.7 vcore

218 x 11.5 = 2511 1.7 vCore

215 x 12 = 2585 1.725 vCore

Again...everything is at least 8 hours prime stable. I have not played too much with the 2600+ yet.....

Hope this helps anyone

the one thing I noticed is the high Mhz the 2600+ runs with very low voltage! I like that!

I have got to get a mobile. Bad news is i just bought a P4 3.0c and ic7 max3 for the dual folding benifits. Ill have to pull the dfi out as soon as i get my ram back from kingston. Thanks for the info exeter ! :foldon::foldon:

My 2500 would run to 2200 on 1.70 volts but no amount of voltage would get it stable above 2280 .
