Otherwise you can find 5700XT on sale for $400 (non-reference). Both are good choices. It really depends on if you like AMD or NVIDIA better. I have decided to go with a 2070 super founders at best buy for $499.
ir_cow Posted November 6, 2019 Posted November 6, 2019 Hellz Ya! I think you will enjoy it. I like my Founders Edition cards. NVIDIA has done a really good job with the RTX reference models. The only reason I don't recommend FE cards, is because they always cost $50-100 more than the board partners. Otherwise they are great. But for $500 that is about the best price you are going to find besides used.
Braegnok Posted November 6, 2019 Posted November 6, 2019 (edited) Nicely done, going with RTX 2070 Super FE card @ $499.99. The RTX 2070 Super, in particular is a sweet card,.. Nvidia swapped the Turing TU106 die, which was used in the original RTX 2070, to the larger TU104 die that's found in the RTX 2080. The silicon swap has allowed Nvidia RTX 2070 Super to offer a nice bump in performance with 2560 CUDA cores, up from 2304 in the original RTX 2070. Given the choice between a founder's edition 2070 at $499 plus tax or a zotac amp extreme edition at $519 no tax which one would you pick
Braegnok Posted November 8, 2019 Posted November 8, 2019 (edited) I prefer the Founders Edition cards,.. just ordered the 2070 Super FE card for a customer a few days ago. Going to find out this weekend whether they have been laser cut down or just soft-locked, and whether NVFlash with Board Id Mismatch Disabled allows the FE Turing cards ID to be overwritten, bumped up to 2944.
