buying win 10 auth code

I downloaded a win10 iso from microsoft. If i purchase an authentication code will that be good .

My son is running win 7 and I want to give him win 10.

If it's a genuine retail key not OEM,.. than you should be fine. If your son ever wants to change computers. As long as the licence is no longer in use on the old computer, he can transfer the licence to the new one.

 

How to uninstall product key:

Press Windows key + X

Click Command Prompt (admin)

At the command prompt, type: slmgr.vbs -upk

 

Hit Enter, this will uninstall the product key from the computer and set it back to trial mode,

you are now free to use key on another computer.

 

If you buy an OEM key it is only good for original computer it is activated on, you can not transfer the licence.

Yep any key will work on the M$ ISO. Keys are easy to find / buy if you are okay with OEM.
