litwicki22 Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 (edited) Hi. I tried to reproduce 2 times display driver crash. When i run 3dmark time spy stress test. I turn off monitor and then turn on again it will stop test and display TDR crash report in event viewer. Is this reason to worry? This happened 2 times when i turn off montor and turn on back. I tried to reproduce this more than 2 times, and no crash. Yes test will stop , but no TDR driver crash. Weird. PC: 6700K stock 16GB DDR4 Asus Z170-P Corsair 750 RM 1080 Ti Fe stock No oc. Screen from event viewer: When i tried to reproduce driver crash i cant. It happened only 2 times. Any ideas why it crashed driver only 2 times during this? Why it doesn't happen everytime? ( TDR ) My monitor: iiyama red eagle g-master gb2488hsu-b3 If i dont turn off monitor test will run non stop even 24 hours without crash. Card plugged by display port cable to display port. ir_cow Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 Hmm I never tried to turn off a monitor while benchmarking. But if its stable 24/7 with the monitor on than I wouldn't worry about it. probably something in the software or drivers that causes a crash when the monitor signal goes away. litwicki22 Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 (edited) So if sometimes TDR driver crash during turning on monitor and sometimes not crash , its not fault of hardware? Sometimes TDR driver crash when turning on monitor and sometimes driver will not crash. It doesn't happen everytime ( TDR ). One time it crash driver, second time not. . xenkw0n Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 Why on earth would you be turning off your monitor or changing any video inputs that are plugged into your GPU if it is doing a stress test or even playing a game? You really need to stop using computers or just buy a MAC if you're going to intentionally look for problems instead of just using it like a normal person. litwicki22 Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 (edited) Just ask The fact is that i don't get a TDR every time after turning on monitor when the test stop . Its very random. It TDR at random times just when i turn on monitor during test. Test will stop and sometimes tdr will show in event logs. Thats all. Not hardware issue or yes? Its last question. Thank you .! Just want to know why TDR sometimes appear and sometimes not. Edited November 1, 2017 by litwicki22

Braegnok Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 I had the same issue recently with my new monitor,.. best fix for me was getting a new mouse,.. seems my old mouse was pulling the Display port cable almost every time I ran Time Spy.
