Zalman CNPS9900-MAX

Hello, im interesting to buy that CPU fan for a M/B socket 2011. The strange is that the product page from Zalman's site, refer to that socket 2011 as to be supported. But if you check the FAQs, it does not . Does anybody uses that Fan for a 2011 socket so to feel sure for mine M/B?

The manual for this shows that the MAX will work with everything out there almost.

 

The FAQ shows LED/NT ver so it only going to show a few. (if you open the manual it shows)

 

So it will work for you.

If it have the retainer bracket for lga2011 then obviously it will work. He best thing you can do is to check before buying.

This is my take on the Zalman cooler, I would not use it and go for something else.

 

A viable option for socket 2011 would be through prolimatech. The older Megahalems keeps the 2011 chips plenty cool to get a dang good OC and its about the same price range as the Zalman that does not perform near as well.

I love my MAX but you can get comparable cooling cheaper or better cooling for the same price. (I just happened to get a really good deal on mine)

 

You don't need the best cooler on the market to get sweet overclocks out of the new intels
