Please Help Fan not moving properly

i don't know if this is true or not but i've heard that you can take fans apart and re-grease them from the inside... i don't know how one would go about that but i have a fan that i believe to be acting up and that is one of the things that has been suggested to me as an alternative to buying a new one.

Well.. I've been investigating and I found one I could buy is this (looks like the one you say):

Electric motor oil - sewing machine or 1/4 WATT, or other name

 

Remove sticker, put drop oil in the hole. Spin fan by hand. Put sticker on back again. Leave fan sideways and let it run for 10-20 minutes then install fan again.

 

If it works for 3 hours just by you moving it, it could probably be saved.
