Nemo Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Today we have an opportunity to check out a set of DDR3 modules from G.Skill. You can see how well it performs by reading the review of G.Skill Trident X 2400MHz - http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/gskill_trident_x/
Waco Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Cons: Could not get to 2600 MHz. Maybe it's just me but breaking 2500 MHz with $100 memory is pretty awesome.
Transk53 Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 2400MHz, man I really am old school. 65 quid in Sterling or so, sounds about right to me.

When guys are pushing past 2600 with this kit I think that's valid.

d6bmg Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Good enough, actually more than expected performance from a $100 kit.
El_Capitan Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 What would be nice is to start showing the overclocking or underclocking ability with limiting the voltages to 1.55V's on SB/IB systems. Not that I've seen or heard of any issues with DRAM Voltage higher than 1.55V's, but most users tend to stay on the safe side. d6bmg Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 ^^ Exactly. I, personally, fear to go beyond 1.55V as I don't have dedicated RAM cooler.
Waco Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 If you're using RAM with an XMP profile and your CPU dies Intel will replace it no questions asked.
