With overclocking Option 2 might come out on top in the end but barely. Since you cannot afford the motherbaord of option 2 then option 3 it is. Since you cannot afford the motherbaord of option 2 then option 3 it is. he cant afford it in combination with the 970... is mobo from option 2 with a phenom 2 955 possible? then definitely go for that. any 9-series chipset will do (if the bulldozer refresh will be anything not to laugh at) you can easily without heat issues overclock a 955 to 970 speeds on the stock cooler.
