Black64 Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Well, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think console versions have anything that makes each individual copy recognizable, software wise anyway, perhaps their barcodes or something in the box could tell you. As for PC versions, I would imagine they can figure it out provided they keep track of what keys go in which shipments. If they were PC versions then yes they could be tracked down via online, but if they were console versions then the only way would be serial numbers, but you wouldn't know unless you had the game itself. DanTheGamer11 Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 It sounds like they just stole the entire truckload to me. Or maybe they just stole the truck. Maybe the COD games were an unwanted consequence for stealing the truck?
ClayMeow Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 It sounds like they just stole the entire truckload to me. Or maybe they just stole the truck. It was indeed a van that was targeted - they crashed a car into it: http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=fr&rurl=translate.google.com&sl=fr&tl=en&twu=1&u=http://lci.tf1.fr/filnews/france/creteil-pres-de-400-000-euros-de-jeux-video-derobes-6809344.html
ccokeman Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Got to love the translation Two individuals armed with tear gas and knives were stolen Saturday morning in Créteil (Val de Marne) a vehicle containing around 400,000 euros of video games, officials said a source close to the investigation. Around 8 am, two people carrying video games in a van saw their car being hit by a car, the source said. After leaving their vehicle to establish a fact, these two men, employed at a service provider working for a company selling video games, were tear-gassed by two individuals who occupied the car and whose face was concealed, said the source close to the investigation. The criminals are then mounted in the van and fled.
