Phil Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 I've been using the Comodo free suite on several of my own computers for a long time, and routinely put it on other people's computers as well. I don't bother with any of the others any more for real time protection.

MINDSCI Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 Avira +1 Norton 360 5.0 Beta is free and available. Norton has been lean and mean for the last 2 years.
premiumgfx Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 AVG +1 I'd also recommend using multiple free programs for extra security (such as AVG Free, Spybot Search and Destroy, Lavasoft AdAware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware). BakaSame Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 I've gone with several, some might say I've gone overboard with my system security. I got a "nasty" one time and I don't care for "nasties", so... ZoneAlarm, Avast, Microsoft Security Essentials, ThreatFire and Malwarebytes. I've also been using Advanced SystemCare just before logging of and shutting down my system; I like it a little better than CCleaner. sack_patrol Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 I've heard that you could use Kaspersky trial forever just by deleting a registry entry, or just reinstall it. I'm not quite sure how it worked.
