Mini Refrigerator/Freezer modded Computer Case?

I was just wondering, has anyone ever thought about using a mini refrigerator/freezer to mod as a computer case? You wouldn't need any fans blowing air in or out, just have it fully enclosed. You can modify the back to have a hole that would include all the necessary cables, then plug that hole and cable with puddy of some sort. To start, you can just open the fridge and press the power button on a workstation mount.

 

Theoretically, how cool would you think a CPU could get?

 

What would be awesome is if the fridge still had room to store beer.

lol yea but those are like a liquid cooling system and you have to worry about condinsation. If you put the whole thing in a freezer you wouldn't. I have a mini fridge and I always wanted to try it but I didn't buy it my dad did so I can't xD

This idea has been thown out by thousands and will not work. Need I explain why? I do give you credit, at least your trying to think.... LOL...

 

 

The compressor will quit within a day. Refridge compressors are not made to run constantly. Research a slush bucket and it may make your brain think more.

Yeah, a refrigerator is not designed to cool anything that is actively giving off heat.

 

I've had this same idea before and I researched it and everyone says essentially the same thing.

The computer would overload the cooling system of a fridge (or freezer) and the computer would quickly overheat due to it essentially being in an airtight box.

 

 

That being said, I think a fridge could MAYBE handle a VERY light load maybe a netbook processor or something out of another mobile device.

 

Thats a big maybe though.

I got a big 2 door cooler like at the stores they put sodas/beer in for my vegatables from the garden, may have to try it someday...

Ya know what, I think with a fridge that size you may be able to use is as an enormous water chiller.

Imagine a GIGANTIC coil running in one door and out the other.

 

I would imagine that the volume of water within such a large coil would take quite some time to be saturated, especially if you incorporated a large reservoir in the loop as well as well.

I'd imagine that you could mount a motherboard onto a piece of wood and hang it upside down as well, that may just make the condensation drip right off if any were to form.
