damian Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 After two and half, maybe three years with the Iphone 3G i finally upgraded just today to the Samsung Captivate. This thing is a beauty, it really is. I'm still getting used to it, i got a phone call and had no idea how to answer Another thing what's with the Galaxy S signature on the back of the phone... I'm wondering though, how easy is it to sync music? Is there a special program?

damian Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 (edited) You know it actually started off a small little crack in the upper right hand corner. And well, the above picture is the result of extreme boredom during my senior year. It worked that way for a long time though, up until i dropped it a few days ago. OP: At first i didn't like the samsung keyboard because it wouldn't correct the mistakes i made. Now iv just stumbled upon the android keyboard. It's now a heck of a lot more easier than the iphone. Its like T9 for qwerty. "Making people lazier by the gadget!" Edited August 31, 2010 by damian

Its like T9 for qwerty. "Making people lazier by the gadget!" Look up Swiftkey on the market. Not only does it autocorrect and autocomplete, sometimes it can actually predict the entire word that you are going to type. I've gone entire sentences only starting one or two words. Right now it's in beta and it has some lag issues at times, but when it doesn't, it's really amazing. And as for your original question, you should be able to just drag and drop. That's what I do with my Eris.
tkrow21 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 What's wrong with the Galaxy S signature on the back of the phone? It's part of the Galaxy S series phones, which have 1GHZ Hummingbird processors, 4" SAMOLED screens, and the Android OS.

tkrow21 Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 There's nothing wrong with it. so, galaxy s is a series of phones? Oh okay. Yeah, Samsung was making a phone called the Samsung Galaxy S, but if it brought the Galaxy S to the American Market, it would be limited to one carrier, as phones these days always are, so what Samsung did was make an entire line of Samsung Galaxy phones that all appeared different, but really had the same hardware and software inside of them. The biggest difference between the Galaxy S phones is the Epic 4G (which has the physical keyboard, and 4G service). The phones are as follows: Captivate - AT&T Fascinate - Verizon Vibrant - T-Mobile Epic - Sprint Galaxy S - Europe Samsung is also broadening the name to make it fit the Galaxy S Tab (a tablet running Android). hardnrg Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Man, I'm glad here in Europe we just call the phone what it is (make, model)... well, most of the time... I hate it when some customer comes up to me with a branded phone (e.g. Vodafone) and expects me to know the brand/model... "er, it's a Vodafone Crappy Pink Edition?" deciding on a new phone and looking for reviews and info is hard enough with a shortlist of, say, 10 phones... I'd hate to increase the searching five-fold because of carrier nicknames lol
