  1. Is this happening under load or at the desktop? My 460 occasionally does the same thing in certain games, and has for the last year or so. Otherwise its completely fine. Also, what drivers are you on?
  2. So my friend is having a problem with his system freezing up on him. What happens is occasionally when its under load it will just completely lock up and start playing a load buzzing sound through his speakers. It always does it after a few minutes of prime95, and occasionally during demanding games like BF3 and Far Cry 3. I'm almost sure its not temperature related, as it did it while his core temps were still below 70C. I assume it has something to do with his CPU, memory, or motherboard, but we want to be sure before he sends it off to deal with iBuyPowers RMA system. These are his relevant specs. i7 2600k at stock As-Rock p67 pro se 2 x 8 GB memory GTX 560 2GB 650W power supply

  5. On US cellular a s3 is almost certainly the best you can get. If I remember right its like their only phone that isnt at least 6 months old. So +1 for a s3.
  6. Thats my problem with Obama/Romneycare. The system as a whole is still f'ed up and no amount of superficial overhauls are going to change it. I was halfway hoping that they would strike it down so that we might get a chance to actually fix it. What i want to see done is to allow people to buy into Medicare. I remember reading somewhere thats it's actually more cost efficient than any of the private insurers. Something like a 2% cost overhead vs. a 5%.
  7. Might be because you've donated.
  8. Just going to leave this here. I've heard that it is really useful for blocking ads and other bad things
  9. Try Dolphin Browser. Its what i used before i switched to my Nexus and it ran ok on my very old HTC Eris, so it should do quite well on a Desire. As for ROMS, Cyanogenmod should work great.
  10. nvm, brain's not entirely functional right now
  11. Not true, or at least not in my experience. You can turn faster if you sort of alternate between the throttle and brake. Like the quickest way to do a 180 is to hold brake for the first half, and then give it the throttle again to keep your speed up. After I figured this out I rarely find someone can who can outdogfight me. Of course, I also know some special maneuvers that almost always can shake people off your tail, but those are secret
  12. I've always heard 'no highs, no lows, must be bose' But anyway if you cant him to go Nvidia the 6950 is not a bad card at all, especially now that its been out for a while and they probably have most of the driver issues fixed.
  13. Bose really aren't much better than Beats.
  14. If you have ICS then Chrome is by far the best. For gingerbread and below though I really liked Dolphin. Skyfire can be useful if your phone doesnt support flash.

    PlayStation 4 (PS4)

Not to mention the Cell architecture is completely different from other architectures.
  16. Haven't had any problems with my GNex. What model of router is it?

    Mass Effect 3

I think that has more to do with EA than Bioware. When they put Bioware on a two year production cycle I got really worried they were trying to turn it into a cash cow like COD. Personally I think a game like Mass Effect needs 3 year of production so they can finish all of the story choices properly.
  18. You might try editing the build.prop file, but that could be very dangerous
  19. Voted for Avengers, but I would also vote for Batman and maybe Prometheus off of that list.
  20. Maybe they will for the general public, but us enthusiasts will have them for a long time. The problem with smart tv's is you can't upgrade them. You have to go out and buy an entirely new tv. Whereas with a HTPC you can just unplug, buy a new tv that isn't as expensive as a comparable smart tv, and plug back in. Although I do think that things like the Logitech Revue could be big if Google ever gets their act together with content licensing.
  21. I'll just post this here for people to use. You have to use the windows 7 preset and load the iso AFTER you set up the vm. This process worked for me at least
  22. I get the feeling that most people are complaining simply because they don't want to learn a new way of doing things. Yes, the new stuff is primarily for tablets and not intuitive at all for a mouse and keyboard, but in my limited time with it, I feel like I could get used to it. Is it better this way? Honestly I have no idea. Only time will tell. That would be a very bad idea in the consumer preview because you wouldn't have a way to access your start menu anymore.
  23. How much is it on contract? They're about $700 here off contract and $200 on. Or do Aussie carriers not subsidize phones.
