AMD 6 core vs Intel i7 @ 4GHz

I would like to initiate a benchmark comparison. All the reviews never compare at the same core speed. I hope the forum moderators let this continue. The rules are as follows:

 

 

All benchmarks run at 4GHz. No higher.

Disable Crossfire or SLI. Run the benchmark with a single GPU.

Run memory at 1600MHz

Post a screenshot with CPUID x 2 and the benchmark.

Post system specs- Processor/GPU with core and memory speeds

 

Here is a sample of screen shot with superpi(1M)

 

Intel i7 930 @4Ghz

Powercolor 5870 @ 900/1300

FPS good but CPU low. I get 7.9 on my CPU with sig rig at 4.3Ghz if that can be any reference.

Opps that was 7.42 on CPU @ 4.46GHz sry my memory is shot!!!!!! You can see it on the screen shot here on 11.5 Cinebench above.

The objective of this thread is to compare performance @4GHz. The variables will be CPU/GPU/HDD. Please put memory @ 1600MHz. Hopefully we will get a few systems semi-similiar to see how the AMD 6 cores perform with some of the same benchmarks. I realize most of mine are synthetice but some people will post various different of benchmarks.

how come sdy got a lower score than u in the the cinebench with the same clock speeds?

thats actually a good question, It may have something to do with cinebench thinking my CPU is @ 3.8ghz... but CPUz reads 4.0

i'm not really sure
