sack_patrol Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 Look at Noctua's products. They have great coolers from what I've heard. Other than that...Sunbeam core contact freezer 4...I have that and I'm happy with it. Nice price and everything. Thermalright TRUST is another that seems to be popular. kuri Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Between the 3 choices, Cooler Master GeminII. The original OCZ Vendetta is a pretty small aftermarket cooler supporting just a 92mm fan. The "2" version is the bigger one that comes with a larger heatsink supporting 120mm fans. If you have the Vendetta 2, it's up to you. Otherwise, go with a HDT (heatpipe direct touch) heatsink, or anything from Noctua or Thermalright.
damian Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 The Xigmatek HDT-S1283 works well too. Was able to bench my LGA 775 E7200 to 4.5GHz

R1P5AW Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 +1 hdt-s1283 This cooler looks identical to my OCZ Vendetta. Whats the difference besides the marketing?

Great_Gig Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Anything by Thermalright, they make exceptional coolers IMO. This is my Thermalright HR-01 Plus cooled by a Noctua 140mm fan, which fits 120mm mounts as the holes are in the same place as a 120mm fan - keeps my E8500 cooler than a cool thing! shiver_8 Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 This cooler looks identical to my OCZ Vendetta. Whats the difference besides the marketing? About 5-7 degrees cooler at load than the Vendetta
