Vaelen2001 Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Hard to explain I know, but back in 2002-2003 some Asus motherboards came shipped with these flat PCB placeholders to fill the memory card slots on their motherboards, they had no memory chips soldered to them they were just PCB with the gold "teeth" on the memory stick. I used to use one as a geek bookmark and lost the book and bookmark. I really loved that thing. If anyone has one lying around I'll pay you for it --Vaelen2001

pezcore Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 You could probably find a really low capacity memory stick on eBay. I thought I had an old Purple Sony one here somewhere (8MB or something, haha) but I can't find it

cirro Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 haha.. i was browsing and saw that kitfit's sig. has the answer to this thread i remember not liking RDRAM because it was initally SO friggin' expensive. lol.. they actually made a product that was so expensive that you could buy a blank board instead of more ram, and that usually was the practal solution because of the price.
