HDMI or DVI Cable?

I just bought myself this monitor.Which cable will be best for me,stick with the DVI cable it came with or go out and buy a HDMI cable?Any differences in the 2 like better picture,quality,etc.

I would just stick to DVI. HDMI is good if you want to connect a console or digital cable box to it.

dvi and hdmi is the same thing...only thing diff is hdmi passes audio as well. so as far as pic q its going to look the same

Depends. Going by that list Dual-Link DVI will carry more bandwidth than HDMI.

HDMI and DVI are essentially identical (assuming you don't have a monitor with speakers). Pick one and forget about it.

Just buy a HDMI to DVI cable.

Since the DVI cable is already included with your monitor that would be the one I used. No sense in spending money unless you have to. As has already been pointed out you would only need the HDMI if you wanted to pass through an audio signal too. In most scenarios the extra bandwidth capacity of one over the other is a moot point for most content and delivery right now.

agreed just use the hdmi... you dont need anything more unless you go beyond 1920 x1080

Dvi and hdmi will output the same quality, but hdmi can do sound. Hdmi is much neater and better to handle (maybe thats my preference).
